The Board recently held a teleconference. A summary of the meeting is included
in another article within this newsletter. Betty Hintch, Editor of Compliance Magazine and a Board Member made a suggestion for an article in their publication. She plans to interview approximately three current CSHM certificate holders concerning the career benefits they have received as a result of having this certification. Volunteers are welcome! If you have a success story you would like to tell, contact us and we will put you in touch with Betty.
The Institute for Safety and Health Management will have an exhibit booth at the NSC Conference in San Diego, CA. The booth # is 1839. If you plan to be there, please drop by and visit us. If you would be willing to volunteer some time assisting at the booth please let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The conference runs from November 6 - 8, 2006.
As mentioned in our spring newsletter, we will invoice members for their 2007 dues in late July. Most will receive email invoices. Currently we have email addresses for 88% of our CSHM members. Sending invoices via email is a major cost savings, please contact this office if you believe we may not have your current email address or if you have not provided one to us in the past.
We are working with our webmaster, Steve Geigle to provide a password-protected “members only” section on our website. We anticipate having member email addresses available so you can check and verify your information. Even though we may have the correct email address many invoices are still returned as undeliverable. One of the reasons for these returns is that the mail from us has been filtered out as possible junk mail. To avoid this problem, please add ishm "at" izones.net to your address book.
