Insights on the ANSI- Z10 Emerging S&H Management System
A 2-Hour Audio Conference Scheduled For:
July 21, 2005
1:30 - 3:30 PM Eastern Time

The draft American National Standards Institute's Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems Standard (ANSI Z10) has been under development for over three years with the American Industrial Hygiene Association serving as the Committee Secretariat. ANSI/AIHA is processing public comments at this time and a final voluntary standard is anticipated by the end of the year. This audio conference examines the key features of the current version of the draft standard, provides insights on the Management System from one of the Standard Committee Members and compares/contrast the ANSI model with other Management Systems such as OHSAS 18001 and OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).

Safety and Health Performance Metrics
A 2-Hour Audio Conference Scheduled For:
August 23, 2005
1:30 - 3:30 PM Eastern Time

Measuring safety and health performance has traditionally been dominated by the use of incidence rates. This audio conference examines the problems with this using incidence rates and other “trailing metrics”, including a thorough review of the various sources of bias in OSHA data. A summary of alternative, leading safety and health performance metrics, as determined through an ORC Worldwide Task Force, will be presented. The session will also include a specific proposal for new, outcome-based safety and health performance metrics.
