Steven Geigle, CSHM
Webmanager  Steve lives in Portland, Oregon, and is currently active in ISHM as it's webmaster. He earned a BS in general science and MA in communications/human relations back in the 70's. More recently, he has earned two graduate-level certificates; Training and Development, and Managing the Training Function, from Portland State University. He was "grandfathered" as a CSHM in 1999 and was in one of the first groups to complete the CSHM exam. Steve is also a member of the National Safety Management Society (NSMS) and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE)
Steve have over 30 years experience as an educator and instructor in a wide range of subjects including occupational safety and health, organizational development, leadership, management, international relations, business, communications and strategic planning. He has also served the business community as a safety consultant, writer, human resource manager, safety director, and training program manager in both the private and public sectors. For the past 15 years, Steve has served as an Oregon OSHA Senior Safety Education Specialist and Online Training Program Manager.
I guess you could say Steve is busy. He is currently the Online Training Director for the National Safety Management Society's online training outreach. He was instrumental in writing the NSMS-OSHA Alliance and is very interested in strategies to maintain and strengthen the historical relationship between NSMS and ISHM. Steve also manages the OSHA Safety Training Network (OSTN) and is currently working on completing online CSHM preparation on his CSHM Prep website.
