Meet the Board Members!
Greg Green
|
Greg Green was appointed to the very important position of Chairman of Accreditation Committee. He worked with ISHM Chairman Dr. Eric Van Fleet and fellow committee members Dr. Andrew Sorine, Jan Rosenberg and Tom Slavin to prepare the application document. From August 2000 to the present, he has served as Associate Professor and Internship Supervisor/Coordinator at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan. |
Greg received his BS in Business Administration from San Jose State University in 1982, his Master's Degree in Occupational Safety from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1988 and has completed coursework for his PH.D at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Health Education emphasis.
Greg, a disabled veteran, is married with one child.

Betty is the first public member of the ISHM Board of Directors. Betty was selected by the Board to fulfill an accreditation requirement which requires ISHM to have the advice and consultation of a member of the public. She is the editor of Compliance Magazine, which is part of Douglas Publications. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from DePaul University in 1985 and attended the University of Chicago and Northwestern University where she studied Journalism. |
Betty is a member of the Chicago Women in Publishing, Toastmaster International, National Safety Council, American Society of Safety Engineers, American Industrial Hygiene Association and Society for Human Resource Management.
Margie Kolbe-Mims, Ph.D.,CSHM
Margie has over 30 years experience in safety and management. She has worked in the plastics manufacturing industry in several positions as well as conducting training at various sites of the organization. Margie currently serves as President of A. Mims Associates, Incorporated Safety and Health Consultants, Appleton, Wisconsin and Naples Florida.
Margie was graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, USA with a bachelors in Business Administration. She obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Fero Salus Safety Honor Society and a Ph.D. in Occupational Health and Safety from Edith Cowan University, Joondalup Campus Western Australia.
She is listed in Who's Who in colleges and universities and Who's Who in Engineering and Technology.
She is a past Editorial Board member for the World Safety Organization Journal and Newsletter, and past Editorial Board Member for the International Safety Institute of (Western) Australia Journal.
Margie is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE), The National Safety Council (NSC) The National Safety Management Society (NSMS) as a Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM) and board member and treasurer of the Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM).
She has presented Safety and Health papers, at the local, national and international levels, co-authored Safety and Health papers in refereed journals in the USA and
- Participated in Occupational Hygiene monitoring
- Provided information to clients on Occupational Safety and Health in general industry as well as construction
- Contributed to distance education in Occupational Health and Safety for Edith Cowan University Joondalup Campus Western Australia.
- Examiner for PhD thesis candidates at Edith Cowan University Joondalup Campus Western Australia.
