Graduates from schools offering safety and health degree programs approved by ISHM are immediately eligible for the ASHM. Those individuals qualifying for the ASHM certification are eligible to take the CSHM exam with a minimum of 2 years safety and health management experience.

Members assisting in supporting Trademark of CSHM
Kim Force, Attorney at Law, has worked with ISHM for sometime in our efforts to register
the Institute for Safety and Health Management, our logo, and the Certified Safety and Health Manager. We have achieved success in registering the ISHM and logo, but as yet have not met with success trade-marking the CSHM. We wish to thank those who provided information regarding their use of the certification.
Those CSHM's providing assistance include: Kathy Bruss, Jay Shankman, Stephen Shankman, Joseph DeMaria, Chad Ignatowski, Robert Ramirez, and many others making contributions, but not named in the report.
The submission was turned down, but we are currently asking for another review within the organization.
