ASHM of the Year Award
Introduction
The ASHM of the Year award annually recognizes an Associate Safety and Health Manager (ASHM) who has excelled in their role as an aspiring safety manager. The Institute for Safety and Health Management (ISHM), in partnership with WESTEX, a flame resistant fabric manufacturer known for their uncompromising commitment to safety, administer the award. The awardee will be presented a commemorative plaque, electronic device for streamlining their professional life and will have their travel expenses to the award ceremony subsidized. The award will be presented in conjunction with the NSC EXPO.
Qualifications
- Nominees must possess a current ASHM certification and be working in safety or a safety related field
- Nominees must have at least one year of professional experience
- Nominees will be recognized for exemplary performance above and beyond the scope of assigned responsibilities
- Nominations must include a supporting narrative
Submission Requirements
- A principal nominator and two endorsements are required for each nomination submitted for consideration; Self- nominations will be accepted
- An individual may serve as a principal nominator for only one nominee; however, a principal nominator may endorse other nominees. Multiple nominations submitted by a single principal nominator will be invalidated.
- Nomination materials will not be returned
- Narrative statements should not exceed one page
